John Samuel, former CEO of Mölnlycke Health Care Group
(MHCG), third in the European advanced wound care market and # 1
European single use-surgical products provider, has joined Tissue
Regenix, a University of Leeds spin off company developing
revolutionary products in tissue regeneration, as Chairman.
Tissue Regenix, which recently received a £3M investment
package from a syndicate of
investors, is delighted to have the new Chairman on board.
John Fisher, a founder and Director of Tissue
Regenix, commented: "John's experience and knowledge of
the healthcare sector is phenomenal. He has led one of the world's
largest health care groups and delivered outstanding returns for
investors. We are very pleased that he has chosen to join Tissue
Regenix and see this as a real coup for the company.”
John Samuel, Chairman of Tissue Regenix,

MHCG was sold last year to Investor AB and Morgan Stanley
Principal Investments (MSPI) for EUR 2.85 bn.

John Samuel was formerly CEO of the Mölnlycke Health Care
Group (MHCG), one of the world’s leading providers of
single-use surgical and wound care products and services to the
healthcare sector. MHCG was created from the successful integration
of 3 companies (Regent, Medlock and Mölnlycke) and was
acquired by Investor AB in March 2007 for approximately

About Tissue Regenix Ltd
Tissue Regenix Limited was formed in May 2006. The underpinning
science was developed over the last decade by Professors John
Fisher and Eileen Ingham as a result of their research and
expertise in biocompatibility, immunocompatibility and functional
tissue re-engineering.
Tissue Regenix products, which are produced from animal tissues,
have an acellular architectural structure that is comparable to
human tissue, and are therefore not perceived as foreign bodies by
the host tissue. This lack of rejection allows the Tissue Regenix
products to work by supporting fibroblast and smooth muscle cell
infiltration, reendothelialisation and revascularisation, so that
it gradually becomes incorporated into the surrounding tissue,
repairing, replacing or providing strength and support to the
tissue defect.
