Modern Biosciences plc - Appoints new head of development

Modern Biosciences plc (“MBS”), the drug development company, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Kevin Moulder PhD, formerly of GlaxoSmithKline plc, as its new Head of Development effective from 28 January 2008.
Kevin has spent over 18 years in leading UK and US pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, most recently at Domantis Inc, the drug discovery company, where he was Vice President of Development with responsibility for managing all aspects of clinical development. As a member of the senior executive team he played a key role in therapeutic target selection, company strategy, business development and intellectual property management. Domantis was acquired by GlaxoSmithKline in December 2007.
From 1996 to 2001, Kevin worked in a number of roles at Biogen Inc, most notably as the Director of Medical Research. He was also a director at Ares Advanced Technology (part of Ares Serono), Massachusetts, and worked as a Group Leader at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals. Kevin holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of London.
Kevin will be responsible for day to day management of MBS’ drug development effort. He will work with MBS’ Asset Managers and MBS’ Chief Scientific Officer, Dr Ian Wilding.
